This summer, we were lucky enough to attend Efteling Theme Park Resort with our partner TK Holidays. TK Holidays (previously known as Team Kara Events), is an affordable coach holiday service which travels to multiple European destinations including some of the best thrill locations.

Efteling Theme Park Resort is located in The Netherlands and is known as a fantasy theme park. They base the resort around fairy tales, myths and legends. To get to this location, we used TK Holidays express trip option. This service means we left our location (Reading) on Friday evening, traveled overnight to Dover to catch the ferry, arrive in Dunkirk early Saturday morning before arriving at Efteling just after park opening. (Please note, depending on location depends on pick up times and how long you actually travel for).
The journey was nice and smooth on the coach with plenty of breaks. The journey didn't take us too long with travelling just under 12 hours to get to the theme park. This was all for an affordable price of £99 per person. This supplies the pick up by the coach, the cost to cross on the ferry, theme park tickets and returning back to where you were picked up. An affordable trip for the whole family or for somebody after a short trip to this amazing theme park.
Efteling Theme Park Resort has an amazing entrance and vibe to the whole place. The entrance looked clean & fresh and entering the resort didn't take too long. We were greeted by a lovely village area and huge lake where a fountain show takes place. The resort also has a great selection of rides with some of the best known as Symbolica - a perfect fantasy themed dark ride filled with magical rooms, Baron 1898 - A dive coaster, Joris en de Draak - a dueling wooden coaster which packs a punch and water ride De Vliegende Hollander - an amazing themed water coaster.
These express trips normally run over the weekend meaning the full day falls on a Saturday.
Obviously this is normally the most popular time to head to the park for most visitors however, we believe the resort being super busy, still had reasonable queue times throughout leaving us enough time to complete rides multiple times with minimal waiting times.
During the summer and our visit, the summer event was on allowing us to watch the water fountain show at night just before the park closing. This was based on the lake just by the front of the park which included a water fountain show to lights and music soundtrack produced by Tiesto. This show was one of the best ways to end a 13 hour day at the resort and was brilliantly produced.
Overall, Efteling Theme Park looked stunning in the hot weather and produced a fantastic 13 hour trip for ourselves during our visit. TK Holidays put on an affordable and amazingly ran trip which we cannot wait to see more of in the future for hopefully winter events and more summer events!
