Alton Towers announces Scarefest Line Up

Alton Towers Resort has today unveiled the line up for Scarefest 2015, which will feature two brand new mazes and also two new scare zones, with a returning maze completing the line up!

Different to other years, Scarefest will now feature 3 mazes and 2 scare zones, this will mean that this is the biggest offering of fright attractions that Scarefest has ever had to offer.

The first new maze that has been brought to the event is "The Haunting of Molly Crowe", this maze is said to be a multisensory attraction, with sections of the maze also needed to be experienced with a blindfold, adding an extra element to the attraction.

The next new maze is "Sub-Species: The End Games", Guests will encounter a strange, post apocalyptic, sewer dwelling community which has been infested by a species from another world. This maze will be Scarefest's first ever multi route attraction. Different to other maze's is the fact that actors WILL be ALLOWED to touch you whilst in the attraction. If you manage to survive the maze there will be two different endings depending on route you take!

Returning is the old favourite - Terror of The Towers, for 2015, there is said to be a new route and updated scenes uncovering even more chilling secrets that the Tower's has to offer!

It is currently unclear as to which attractions will have an additional charge to enter them.

Two new Scarezone's are arriving at the park this year, the first being "Dark Apocalypse", this will be located in the Forbidden Valley, which is a first for the area! The scare zone is based on the fact a deadly virus has spread across the area and the Phalanx operatives have to

implement quarentine procedures, although questions have been asked about the security procedures and it has been known that the virus can make people highly aggresive!

The second of the two Scarezone's is "Nox Infernus", this will be located in the Dark Forest. The underworld will rise and you will have the choice whether you join "The Cult" or submit to the end of the world as we know it.

With the refresh of Scarefest it means that certain maze's will not be returning, The Sanctuary, Zombie's Scare zone and Scary Tales will not feature this year.

There will still be plenty of fun for family's & young children as Franklyn, Skelvin, Patch and Phil will be returning to Scarefest with Skelvin’s Spooky Storytime, Phil & Franklyn’s Ghoul School, and Patch’s Trick-Or-Treat Party – Live on Stage!

The park will be open from 10am - 9pm throughout Scarefest so guests will be able to check out some of the mazes and also ride some of their favourite rides in the dark!
