In the article, Amanda went on to explained her dreams of what she would like Blackpool to be and how Blackpool Pleasure Beach will help. The mention of a new multi-million pound coaster to be built by 2018. Amanda has been working with the heads of Disney, Universal Studios and Europa Park.
Blackpool Pleasure Beach has undergone some development since it first opened in 1896. Some of the most recent developments have been rides such as Wallace & Gromit, Thrill-0-Matic & Red Arrows Skyforce Ride. These rides have proved that big names want to be apart of Blackpool.
A focus on events is also top of the list for Blackpool with events such as a red arrows performance on May 21st, Summer Time Games in the summer and 6 nights of fireworks in October & November!
Amanda says “We should all be proud and waving flags about Blackpool. We have a great beach, great sea and we can walk for miles up the Promenade. It takes a lot to change a town, it might not happen as quickly as we would like, but the more positive we can be, the more people will come here and keep coming back three or four times a year.”
