Thorpe Park Fright Nights is around the corner with just over three weeks before the 15th birthday celebrations begin. Today, further details were released about the new maze Platform 15 with other changes happening to some other mazes!
Platform 15 is the brand new horror maze for 2016 to celebrate 15 years of Fright Nights. Thorpe Park have said; "Take your turn to walk the Island’s back roads which have never before been accessible to the public. Guests will face a deserted railroad, explosions, séances, Ouija boards and pitch black forestry. They may also find themselves hunted and chased in the depths of the forest, so they must tread carefully and not disturb the grounds – zombie ‘Sleepers’ hidden amongst the trees may awaken."
The maze is set to be one of the largest to date covering 450m in an area that has not been accessible to guests in the past until now.
On top of that, The Big Top which was new for 2015 is also having some changes. The location has changed from Amity Beach to near the Zodiac & Vortex area. This is where My Bloody Valentine was based last year. The maze is based in a new tent with a new audio track. Thorpe Park have promised even more clowns this year!
Also, Blair Witch is set to have some changes which are unclear yet. Lionsgate are releasing a brand new Blair Witch film this month which Thorpe Park are sure going to take advantage of with it being the scariest film currently of 2016!
Thorpe Park have also promised that; "As part of the Park’s birthday celebrations, roaming scare actors will be unleashed on the Park after 6pm, so the scares will continue outside the mazes. Guests can choose which characters arrive at the Park by voting on the Thorpe Park Official Facebook page. They can choose from a selection of frightful fiends who have graced Fright Nights mazes over the past 15 years, and bring them back to the Park for one last scare."
