Blackpool Pleasure Beach have announced that for 2018 a brand new launched coaster will be constructed that will have several exciting features linking with existing rides & attractions in the park.
The £16.25 million pound coaster is set to open during the 2018 season as a launched mack coaster. This will be the first UK ride to have two launches. On top of this, the ride has an impressive set of features to go along side the launches. Standing at 88ft tall, consisting of two tunnels and will include 15 "interactions" which is the highest in the world, with it passing through 5 rides in the park.
The coaster is being designed by Mack, which is a German Company. The ride has gone through 5 years of planning to get the concept right.
Nick Thompson, deputy manager of Blackpool Pleasure Beach has said "“We have been working on this concept for five years now and are delighted to be able share news of our plans. “Construction 2018 will be fast, adrenalin-fuelled and exhilarating but also smooth and comfortable – an entirely new ride experience. “It sees a significant investment in Blackpool Pleasure Beach. We expect to see thrill-seekers flock to the park to experience this UK ride first.”
Amanda Thompson was also teasing ahead of the announcement on her personal twitter account with her being seen outside Mack headquarters.
