As fans of crazy golf, we decided Swingers LDN would be a perfect place, and something a bit different to do in London.
We headed there on Sunday 14th January, and apart from a few photos, we weren't too sure what to expect. It's easily found right opposite the iconic Gherkin tower, and upon entry we were greeted by a security guard, as this is an over 18s only venue, and once we went downstairs to the venue we could see why. Swingers LDN takes a fun activity like crazy golf and turns it into an excellent experience for grown ups, with a touch of class, several bars, great food & super friendly staff.
Upon checking in at reception we were given time slots for our tee off at each of the 9 hole courses. Whilst waiting for our first round of golf we took the opportunity to have a look around; the whole place was just so different, but in a good way. Plenty of spaces to sit, relax and have a drink, or have a bite to eat (The pizza was delicious!).
There is two courses on offer at Swingers LDN. One called The Lighthouse whilst the other is called The Windmill. Both courses have different elements to them and both are around the same level of difficulty.
The crazy golf itself we were greeted by enthusiastic caddies who supplied us with our club, ball, scorecard & pencil and gave us some top tips along with the rules. For a relatively small indoor venue, the space has been used so well, and each hole is reasonable size, and all are different in their own way keeping you engaged and the fun flowing the whole way through. We certainly struggled with the par 2 on most holes, and were taking full advantage of the maximum of 6 rule on some of the holes! What we really like was how organised the whole place was, from being given time slots to start, to try and prevent overcrowding of the courses, to the staff even around the course who you could order drinks from mid-game.
Overall we had a great time and definitely felt like the classiest, yet coolest crazy golf we have done; the atmosphere was really good, and we would recommend Swingers LDN for all kinds of occasions. We also noticed the DJ booth in the venue which we assume they use at weekends on the evenings and turn the music up a notch.
