Paultons Park is a theme park based in Hampshire which is also known as the home of Peppa Pig World! The family run theme park has stepped up the thrills when they launched Lost Kingdom (a dinosaur themed area in the park) back in 2016. In 2018, they expanded Peppa Pig World and now for 2020, Tornado Springs! Advertising has started at Paultons Park advertising the new area coming in 2020. Little is known and confirmed by the park at this early stage but we believe we will hear more confirmed in 2019.
What can we expect in Tornado Springs in 2020?
What we can expect to see from Paultons Park in 2020 is another expanded area in the park, similar to Lost Kingdom back in 2016. The park added a new family suspended coaster, several new flat rides along with themed food outlets, shops and dinosaur encounters! We expect the scale to be very similar to this in terms of budget, themeing & rides.
No confirmed date has been announced of when Tornado Springs would open at this stage.
What theme will Tornado Springs be?
From what has been released already, this seems to be following an American town that has or will be hit by Tornado's. It looks likely it will follow a derelict, old town which is damaged by the Tornado's that pass by. From planning permission that has been posted online, Route 83 has been submitted with a logo which will have some involvement with the theme of Tornado Springs. This is also on some of the promotional marketing that has been released online. Route 83 is one of many routes in America which is likely where this town will based along.
What marketing material has been released already?
If you look hard enough, a lot of marketing material has been released and hidden. However, around the park and online, we can see the main marketing which is the hashtag #TSTB along with an image of a town set up on twitter. They have already teased about high winds and what we can expect to see in 2020.
Further to this, other twitter accounts have been set up. Jesse's Diner is one of theme which is likely to be the restaurant opening in Tornado Springs, Farmer Flo along with dog Benji look to possibly be some of the characters in the town, Junkyard Junction is run by another character named Angus, which is likely to be a name of one of the rides & Storm Chaser Coops seems to be the main Storm Chaser character based in Tornado Springs.

What rides could we expect in Tornado Springs?
Well no rides have been confirmed as of yet however, it is likely some rides around the park will be rethemed to match the new Route 83 / Tornado Springs look along with the new rides. From construction around the park, this is likely to happen around next to the Peppa Pig area where rides such as Wave Runner & Trekking Tractors are up through to minigolf is currently situated.
With the current theme being Tornado's, we expect the rides to be spinning like a Tornado would. Rides such as a teacups could be installed or we could even see a new spinning coaster like Dragon's Fury at Chessington World of Adventures! Another name that was submitted by the park was Al's Auto Academy, which is likely to be a brand new flat ride aimed at the family market.
As we wait for more to be released, keep up to date with Paultons Park by following all of their socials to see more on Tornado Springs. Otherwise, check back in with Thrill Nation in 2019 where we hope to find out more on the new themed area for 2020!
